…It’s getting interesting!

Every weekend there is something BIG to watch on TV! The Superbowl, The Grammys, The All-Star Game, The Oscars… all in February!!!

Basketball all star game… WHO KNEW?! I mean I have never watched it before… Justin made us record the Slam Dunk contest

Sprite Slam Dunk Contest yYYqy7500aml

(which was Saturday—and apparently we missed the Celebrity game on Friday- had I known we would have watched it too!! NEXT YEAR) We watched Slam Dunk and the All Star Game on Sunday…

REALLY COOL! Surprising coming from me- Cause I hate Basketball!

There was music and celebrities and it was much better than real basketball!!!

AND the halftime show-WAS BETTER THAN THE SUPERBOWL! (Luckily Usher didn’t have to save the day again (poor Beiber and Jayden) but that’s cause it was good and he wasn’t there)

Rihanna and Kanye ROCKED OUT! –and may I say… Her hair looks GREAT long!

I will definitely be watching next year without an argument ;)

…I wish I could go to the Grammy’s

It’s AN EGG?! It’s a WOMB… NO it’s A VESSEL!!!
Well so she says… and in interviews the next day… she says she was “incubating” for 72 hours!!! (While I think that may be a bit of a farce… I still think this whole thing is GENIUS!)

Best Dressed
Selena Gomez… This girl may only be 18 but she was rockin’ it in this gold number… (I would Kill for something like this in my closet for College Night (I'm on that web page!) )
Lea Michele: I don’t follow Glee and I don’t care about her ham it up routine she put on for the carpet… but I thought this dress was cute (although she could have run a brush through that weave-I would know!)
Bruno Mars: (Center!) I mean the man looks GOOD… and the trio—RAT packin’ it up Modern style!
Adam Lambert: So loving him! Never ceases to look GREAT! That’s half the beauty of a gay man though…
Worst Dressed
Katy Perry: BE FOR REAL… did she think she was at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show again?
Miley Cyrus: I just have 2 things that are nice enough to say about this…
1: SIDE boob…
2: BAD extensions!
(the rest is just plain mean! but that’s what happens when you get the munchies Miley)
miley cyrus grammy 2011 back
Ciara: THIS IS TERRIBLE! It looks like she has a bedazzled ace bandage on her breasts… and her shoes… COME ON!!!
Nicki Minaj: REALLY just STOP IT… Gaga called and said she wanted the crazy back… you aren’t allowed to be all weird with your clothes that’s her job K THANKS!
AND BESIDES this is not cute!

Ricky Martin: He came out of the closet this year IN A FURY… HOLY COW… no SIR… this is NOT OK

Although I could not be there this year, my side brought home a win! I am so proud of them!

It’s their first win since I was a senior at Montevallo… It’s bitter sweet really… the next time that I make it home for homecoming, I will not know anyone on the stage! Hopefully that will be before College Night turns 100—7 years from now, I can make it back before then right?!

… Best of the Best (Commercials that is)

Ok well you know me… I have officially analyzed all of the super bowl commercials and brought them to you for your viewing pleasure! (But only the best of the best… I weeded out all that other crap!)

So here they are… organized by quarter (of course, cause they have to have a rhyme and reason)

1st quarter

McDonalds: The Last Fry… well done! You know you always try for that last fry!!! admit it!!!!

Doritos 1: We all know they are finger lickin’ good… This one  made me a bit uncomfortable… but it definitely called a spade a spade!

Doritos 2: This was just plain funny! Those things got MAGIC!

2nd quarter

Budwiser: Tiny Dancer… Makes me miss Twist & Shout downtown Birmingham :(

(second quarter was a bit disappointing, only one good one!)

Don’t get me wrong… I REALLY like the BEP! But let’s be honest here… this was TERRIBLE! Fergie’s mic was off… the dancers were odd, and not in an artistic way… It seemed like there might be a saving grace when Slash came out but Fergie jacked that up too! FOR REAL, the cover band that used to play in Montevallo (Fly by Radio, LOVE YA’LL) was WAY better than her on “Sweet Child”!

SAVING the whole show: USHER! The dancing was great the costumes were better… The show came together for a mere flash in time…

All there is to say…Whatever happened to the days of wardrobe malfunctions? Made things WAY more interesting! However if I have to settle… I'll ALWAYS take the Michael Jackson stand-in aka USHER!

3rd quarter

Coke: People bond over coke… even over enemy lines… that’s all there is too it! Coke= WORLD PEACE!

Best Buy: "What's a Beiber"…If only we lived in a world where someone really didn’t know what A Beiber was! BAHAHA,

Chrysler with Eminem: This gave me the chills… spooky good! Little Fally LOVE YOU!!!

4th quarter

NFL: Everybody loves a good sitcom!!! :) Talking cars… But they are real AND they have SASS!

Bud Light: with poker dogs… Man they are SMART!

Bridgestone: Beaver saves the day… get that animal a cape!

Stay Tuned for awards season!!!! YAY!

…We’re FAMOUS (in a small town)

Who’s heard of the Shelby County Bride Guide… Sweet Daniel called one day last week and asked if we wouldn’t mind being in the Spring issue… (DUH why wouldn’t we want to!!!)
So after emailing a few pictures, and relaying our story (ignore the repeat, it’s not in the actual publication!) to the editor… we are now part of the issue!
photo (2)
So it’s like I said… WE’RE FAMOUS… well at least in Shelby County ;)
